I find that the detail and presentation of heritage understandings surrounding the "inbred sin" doctrine to be inadequate. While I agree with their conclusions, I find the great emphasis upon evil to be unhelpful since "inbred sin" is not sin itself, but the inward root cause of it. While sinful, it is something else than sin. It is unearned consequences from the Fall. I also find it inadequate when the topic is just left as a mysterious "dark lump that cannot be saved". While it certainly is that, I need to understand it better than this.

This commemoration of John Wesley's Tercentenary (1703-2003) is by far the nicest PDF on this website. It is a real work of art just chock full of beautifully done graphics and photos. "God’s Revivalist and Bible Advocate", the official organ of God’s Bible School, is a magazine founded by Martin Wells Knapp in July of 1888. These 24 pages weigh in at 1697 KB, so this takes real time to download, but it is well worth the wait.

Health Discoveries
My personal situation has forced me to become informed on health issues. My low level Mercury poisoning (protracted from dental sources) interferes with my ability to effectively pray for my own healing, so I have been stranded since 1996 with a serious illness that the conventional medical community has not been able to diagnose or help me with. My View on Marriage
Here is the straight scoop. Most pastors encourage marriage as normal because they are married. It is also clearly understood that married people must work more, and so give more into the church coffers. It all helps pay the bills.
And indeed, for the unsaved and unsanctified marriage is virtually necessary so that the enemy will not take advantage of your incontinence. (your lack of ability to control yourself)
But even married people sometimes stray! These days, "remarriage" is often straying in disguise. Those who stray lose their salvation until they repent in sackcloth and ashes. To regain it is tough. And to regain the trust of a deeply wounded spouse is tough. Often impossible. Being an abandoned spouse is tough since you must bear consequences of the other's sin even though you are without blame. Staying out of trouble before the Lord then becomes doubly tough.
The Lord allows divorce because of "the hardness of the hearts". This means that it keeps the murder rate down.....
But those walking in His Rest are not incontinent. For the sake of their existing spouse they remain as they are, but they can ask the Lord to release them from depending on a spouse in this area upon the loss of a spouse. And He will.
Those who enter into Rest before marriage should take immediate advantage of this gift of freedom. Why? Because of time. It takes a significant portion of your time maintaining relationships within your family. Even if there are no children, you always have to do special things to keep the home fires burning. Special outings. Special vacations. Special purchases. Special housing. Special vehicles. Endless special activities. These are all peripheral things you couldn't even imagine doing without a spouse to keep pleased. And if you don't keep them pleased there will eventually be revolt and bitterness. And then the babies come. After they come how do you find time for the Lord's work? Only with great difficulty.
Those in His Rest have a heart only for Him and His precious work. They can remain undistracted.
Those with unsaved spouses must endure conflict. Those in His Rest that have unsanctified spouses also have to endure some degree of conflict with the remaining depravity within their spouse when it manifests from time to time. Just because you enter into Rest does not mean that your spouse will ever want to be so radical.... But even so, surprising miracles can happen with persistent prayer.
When both partners are sanctified, there is such a high degree of fellowship that you want to always be together. But the calling of the Lord is seldom so convenient. This also is conflict.
A good number of children are God's blessing to a couple to help bind them together with each other and with God with an ever-stronger circle of commonality, love and duty, so that following any destructive temptation will become unthinkable. This protection is especially a blessing for the unsanctified.
But John G. Lake was a prosperous man and had ten children as well as a very productive ministry! However, much of the credit for that must go to his dear wife that died young in Africa under the burden and hardship of it all. He then remarried so the children would have a mother.
